- Coordinates and manages all nursing and assisted living aide’s services rendered to clients by direct service staff under his/her supervision.
- Performs essential administrative functions, providing appropriate reports as needed.
- Performs essential nursing functions assuring the overall well-being of residents.
- Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competence.
- Contributes to the effective operations of the department by demonstrating dependability in job performance.
- Demonstrates commitment to UMH philosophy.
- Collaborates with all staff to maintain the safety and security of all who reside, visit, or work in the facility.
- Participate in Manager on Duty on weekends.
- Baccalaureate Degree, Diploma, or Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of two years experiences (with BSN) or four years (with diploma or AS degree)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a home health care agency or community health
- Pre-placement drug test may be required
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Knowledge and understanding of ALSA regulations.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and verbal doctor’s orders, patient care plans, prescriptions, and duty assignments.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to provide emergency care to residents.
- Must be able to relate to elderly in a dignified manner and to a medical staff in a professional manner.
